Last night Joy and Richard babysat while we went out to dinner and to WICKED!!!! Here is us on our way out.

743 mile car trip

We left at around 8:30 this morning for California. So far we have made 1 1/2 stops, watched parts of about 7 DVDs and had a pretty happy little guy. He finally conked out a few minutes ago and it looks like our ETA for Santa Rosa is about 7pm (depending on traffic and length of stops.) See you all soon!!!!

A fun game on a boring Saturday morning

All you need is a bowl of shallow water, foam letters and a dishwasher. Don't worry, when he spilled water on the floor I just gave him a paper towel and cleaning became of part of the game too.

A good Sunday!

Last night Carter had a night terror which was awful, but he was SO tired that he ended up sleeping in until 7:00AM and took a 3 hour nap which was awesome! He's been in a great mood today so he has been rewarded with some of his favorites:

Yesterday Carter seemed very interested in a short from the movie Cars so I told Dave that Carter wanted the movie. Then I spent all day teaching Carter to say "Please Daddy" so he wouldn't be able to resist. He bought the movie and Carter is loving it.

Carter hasn't been staying at his table for dinner unless we scoot him over next to us so we decided to invest in a booster seat so he could sit at the table with us (pictures to come) and he has been sitting in it on the floor while watching Cars.

Carter is a cookie monster and has taken a liking to these:

I bought these "veggie straws" from Costco for my lunches and Carter LOVES them!! He wants to eat them all day!

Put them all together and it makes for a great Sunday afternoon!

Lunch date!

My boys met me at work today and swept me off to Subway for a lunch date. We've been trying to eat healthier so we have been going to Subway and eating off their fresh fit menu whenever we want to eat out. We've never thought to get Carter a sandwich until today when we ordered him a kid's fresh fit meal. It was so cute and came in this little re-usable lunch sack with a handle and velcro that Carter enjoyed carrying around. We had so much fun that I've begged Dave and Carter to come rescue me every Friday that I work!

It was so fun and I loved seeing my boys in the middle of the day!!
