Best tag ever!

I'm so glad Allie tagged me on this one! You pick you 10 (or so) favorite pictures and describe them. Sorry, I'm closer to 15...

I'm on the left. I loved that lunch box but eventually the picture peeled off so a few years back I found one on Ebay and bought it!

One of the funniest scariest pictures of me ever! This is my barbershop quartet in High School, Short 'N Sweet, before winning 2nd place in competition. I also love it because this was the exact day I fell in love with Dave.

My favorite Halloween costume of all time.

The best picture of me and Dave EVER taken.

No one else has a wedding photo like this...

I'm tired of being ashamed of this photo. Yes, you see my shoulders, but it is one of my absolute favorite photos of all time and the only one from the hospital where I don't look like a monster! I'm proudly displaying this on my blog!

Just so cute...

Stink eye at a young age. He kind of looks like a baby Jack Nicholson.

I love this picture mostly because it was Carter meeting his 99 year old Great Great Grandpa for the first time and Grandpa looks so happy. I'm glad we got to see him before he passed away.

Jeff says he looks like an Ecuadorian baby in this picture, but I just think it's cute.

At Cornbelly's picking pumpkins.

Not a mama's boy...

More interested in the true meaning of Christmas...

Nutty professor

He still needs his mama.

I tag my husband. I want to see what he comes up with. And anyone else who wants to.

Look how chubby I am mommy!

But I'm not sleepy!

Dave had to stay late at work today while someone came and cleaned the carpets. I was very sure that I would not wait up for him because I was exhausted from a long day of work and lots of exercise. I tried to goto bed but I couldn't sleep and neither could Carter. He's been waking up every 15 minutes so finally I brought him to bed with me thinking maybe he would sleep better. Nope. Instead he had a conversation with his Daddy who wasn't even there. Sorry for the dark video but I was trying to sleep. Make sure you have your speakers up.

Healthy and happy!

Last Friday was Carter's last dose of prevacid. We didn't want to jinx him by announcing it on the Blog so we waited a week to see how he would do and we are happy to report he no longer needs ANY medication for his reflux! We are so happy and never thought this day would come! Now we have an extra $80 a month and no more barf stains on our clothes or our kid! Happy day!

His favorite thing these days...

Carter loves to "read" but in order to do so he must first take ALL of the books off the shelf.

Tagged. Thanks Melissa...

Here are some questions about you and your spouse. Once your finished tag whoever you want to do this! Come on, play along - inquiring minds want to know!
♥ What are your middle names? Dave's is Michael and mine is Nicole but most people just say it is Lynn and I'm ok with that
♥ How long have you been together? We've been married almost 4 years, were engaged 10 months, dated after the mission for 3 months, wrote for 2 years on the mission and "hung out" for 6 months before the mission. You do the math.
♥ How long did you know each other before you started dating? It's complicated possibly 6 months but nobody is really sure.
♥ Who asked who out? Dave asked me and I said no. Eventually, I think it was mutual.
♥ How old are each of you? I'll be 25 in July and Dave will be 29 in July.
♥ Whose siblings do/ did you see the most? Dave's
♥ Do you have any children together? Yup Carter who is one. If you are reading this though you probably already knew that.
♥ What about pets? We had a beta, 2 cats and 2 hermit crabs but Pierre the hermit crab died, Pablo the other hermit crab went to live with my coworker because he was lonely without Pierre, Biter the Beta was getting old and sick so we froze him (it's the humane way to do it, ok?) Our cat Pele had health problems so we took him to the humane society and gave them a big donation so they could fix him and find him a home and our other cat Atticus now lives with my brother's family. Sorry you asked? Luckily we are better parents than pet owners.
♥ Did you go to the same school? Yes but he graduated the year before I got there.
♥ Are you from the same home town? Yes. I was actually born in Santa Clara (at the same hospital as his older brother) and then moved to Santa Rosa after 7th grade so I guess that's the same home town.
♥ Who is smarter? It changes depending on the day and the topic. I'm un-motivated usually so Dave seems smarter. Also, the calculator watch adds a couple points to his I.Q. (at least that's what he thinks...)
♥ Who is more sensitive? Me.
♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple? When we used to eat out all the time it was Coasta Vida, California Thai, Lepes, Jack in the Box and PF Changs
♥ Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? Utah or Oregon
♥ Who has the craziest exes? Since he only has one and the question is plural I'd have to say me. Even though his one ex is pretty crazy.
♥ Who has the worst temper? Dave, but only because he's quick to get mad at himself.
♥ Who does the cooking? We used to cook together but now Dave does a lot of it since I'm at work and he has to be fed by 5:30 before he leaves for work.
♥ Who is more social? That's an easy one. Me.
♥ Who is the neat-freak? Dave. I like things in organized chaos.
♥ Who is more stubborn? Me, thanks Mom.
♥ Who hogs the bed? Some nights I sleep diagonal and Dave was very quick to say "YOU!" so I guess it's me.
♥ Who wakes up earlier? We get up at the same time usually. Unless I have the day off and Dave lets me sleep a little.
♥ Where was your first date? ET in the theater 7 years ago yesterday.
♥ Who has the bigger family? Immediate family Dave's is way bigger but my extended family is way bigger than Dave's.
♥ Do you get flowers often? It goes in spurts. I get a lot of little surprises and treats so the gesture is there.
♥ How do you spend the holidays? usually eating as much as we can...
♥ Who is more jealous? Me definitely. Dave doesn't get jealous AT ALL!
♥ How long did it take to get serious? I think we became semi-serious the week before Dave left for his mission.
♥ Who eats more? That's a tough one but Dave says he does so I'm going to have to say him unless I'm pregnant.
♥ Who does/ did the laundry? Dave.
♥ Who’s better with the computer? I do better with work things and he has more technical knowledge.
♥ Who drives when you are together? Always Dave. I'm an awful driver.
I tag: Joy, Noelle, Rachelle, Stacey, Emily, Raphelle AND Rory (I want to see if you have different answers!)

Walking for TP

No, TP is not a disease. We ran out and it's Sunday so Carter and I took a stroll to Melissa, Court and Emery's to steal a roll. Yup, that embarrassing! Thanks though.... You guys are lifesavers!

The ending of an era and the turning of a page.

10 more points if you can tell me what that title is from!
This morning the fed ex guy arrived with 6 scrapbook pages which almost made me cry. When I slipped that 46th page into the book I realized I was done. His first year is over and so is his scrapbook. I will continue making him scrapbooks throughout his life but none will be as dear to me as this one. The first chapter of his life is complete. I am grateful to howfasttheygrow.com for helping finish this book for him and I will treasure it forever, or until he barfs on it.

Oh, Back to school, back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool.

10 points to whoever can tell me what the title of this blog is from!

So, I've decided to go back to school (in case you couldn't tell from the title of this blog) and get my degree in event planning. I hope to take an online class every semester until I finish which will be difficult while working full time and having a family which we hope to increase by 1 this summer. Thank goodness the Easter Bunny has email!

Since we weren't at home we had to email the Easter Bunny and ask him to bring Carter's basket to Grandma & Papa Mann's house. His eggs were filled with cheerios, goldfish, puffs, and yummy cat cookies from Trader Joe's.

When we got to Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's for lunch Carter was tired but I wanted to get some pictures of him in his Easter outfit before he changed.

The best part:

He changed and was playing with his Easter egg.

Carter and his cousin Andrew

We couldn't get any good pictures of Carter in his bunny ears...

We had Easter dinner with Fauxma & Fauxpa and we made a high chair out of a chair, a binder, no slip stuff, a phone book and Nancy's pink belt! It worked great and Carter was able to enjoy the yummy corned beef and cabbage!!!

Let him eat cake!

My good friend Caitlin took some amazing pictures at Carter's Birthday party!! (Thanks Caitlin!) There were so many good ones but I thought for now I would just blog the infamous chocolate cake shots. Be on the look out for more blogs with more pictures from our trip since I am WAY behind on blogging!

One year ago today

No, I did not give birth to my beautiful little boy one year ago today, instead I was crying all day because the hospital called me at 5:15am to reschedule my induction. It's weird to think that today very well could have been his birthday and that I know exactly what I did a year ago.
Click here to relive that awful day.

Also, I have a question for all of you Moms (or dads or non-moms or dads) You are supposed to wait until a baby is 20lbs AND 1 year to forward face their car seat in the car. Well Carter is 3 ounces away from 20 lbs and 1 day away from 1 year. Do you think it's ok? I was discussing it with a friend last night and I thought I would get some opinions since I usually take the cautious route when it comes to my kid. Please tell me your thoughts.

Sneak peek

Dave tried on Carter's Easter and Birthday outfits and snapped a few photos.
