We miss Brush Creek Ward!

We went to church yesterday and we only met one family. Luckily they have a 4 month old daughter and she was fussy so the mom and baby spent all of Sacrament meeting in the hall as did me and Carter. It is nice to know there is a baby close to Carter's age and they even live in our complex. We went up to introduce ourselves to our new bishop but he just walked right past us. We were sad that we didn't meet more people. Oh well I guess there's always next week.

Smiling in his crib with Bisket the musical Seahorse.

My new favorite hat from my new favorite store Naartje (don't know how to say it.) Supposedly they have them all over California but I've never seen them.

Just hanging out.

And he turned himself sideways!

A good night

It all started when Carter nursed without the shield i've had to use practically his whole life and ended in almost 12 hours of sleep. We put him down at 9:30 and we went to sleep at about 11:00. Ever since we moved him to his crib he's been getting us up at least once a night but this time we didn't hear a peep until 5:30. He nursed for a half hour and went back to sleep until 9:00! I woke up completely shocked and went in his room to find him just hanging out not fussing at all! I even had time to grab my phone and my camera and snap a few pictures. I wish every night was like last night.

The perfect couch... or so we thought.

We went to Ikea yesterday and found the coolest orange vinyl couch for a really good price. It was delivered today and we were so sad to see dirt stains all over it. They say they will send a new one in a few days, but we are both still really sad.

Our new tub is too narrow to give Carter a bath, but his tub fits perfectly on the kitchen counter.

Our reading spots.

Me out on the balcony.

Smiles

Even though he has the sniffles and hasn't really had a nap we can still make him smile.

4 months! Holy cow!

I knew it was coming up. Whenever anyone would ask me how old he is I would say "almost 4 months" but I never expected to get to the computer today pull up our blog and see "Carter is 4 months old" right there in front of me! It's crazy how fast he's growing up. His new thing is to arch his back whenever he wants to be picked up. It's pretty funny. He'll be in his swing or bouncer and I'll walk by and he'll just arch away even if I don't bend down to get him. I think he learned it on the drive out here because sometimes it's tricky getting him out of his carseat. He's a very smart baby and is just so fun to have around.

When I told one of my Young Women that I was moving to Murray (I was wrong we are technically in Salt Lake but we are super close to Murray) she told me to take a picture of David Archuleta. Well, This is the best I could do:

Wouldn't you hate to go to a school where a giant poster if you is hanging?

We are doing well here in Utah but we are still having a hard time getting used to it. It's nice that our family and friends have all been and will be visiting Utah. It makes it seem more like home. We hope everyone is doing well and we love you all.

Oh, and please try to remember that now we are an hour later. If you are calling us at 10PM it is really 11PM for us... Thanks!

Those with weak tummys look away

Carter's been a bit backed up since we've been here, but it seems the pipes might be clearing.

Thank goodness.

We finally figured out he needs a size 2 nipple so now he takes a bottle again.

David the monkey.

Our trip to Build a Bear

We went to Build a Bear today and made a monkey for one of Dave's friends. I was tempted to make one for Carter but I think I'll wait a while.

Hooray!

We have a working kitchen! One room at a time.

Someone is supposed to be napping.

He got his legs free.

My knight in shining armor!

Dave picked up our lunch at Rubios today and came home with a bag of food from Whole Foods which we didn't think were out here. We are so excited because now I can actually cook and eat gluten free!

We're here and online!

As you've seen I've been blogging from my phone but now we are actually online. The office at our new place has computers that the residents can use. So here are more pictures from the trip that I took with my camera:

A much needed bath

We are all doing good and adjusting to life here in Utah. We are slowly but surely getting boxes unpacked and making it feel more like home. So far the hardest part is finding food. We've had to eat out but we aren't really sure where anything is or if places are good. I can't wait until we get our kitchen stocked and our dishes and cooking things unpacked! Any food suggestions appreciated!

We miss everyone and hope everyone is doing well.

Carter likes his chair!

Dave figured out our They Might be Giants kids cds also have dvds so they are watching them this morning.

Our new patio.

In an attempt to be more organized we got a storage unit to hold our holiday and camping stuff out on the deck. We also got a table and some chairs so we can sit out there. Carter even has his own for when he gets a little bigger. As our place continues to get put together we will post more pictures and maybe even a video tour.

We're in!

At least Carter's happy to finally be here.

We just got the key and we are moving in today!
