Taking care of business

I realized last night I was getting a little behind on my scrapbook pages (behind in my opinion anyway) so my sweet husband let me work on them this afternoon while he watched the boy. I think I am pretty much caught up in making them, but now when we get extra money I have 8 pages to order. Yikes! I also got a really cute idea for his Valentine's day pictures/page so I will probably have at least 9 to order by the time I can afford it. Oh well, at least they are done. Enjoy! (Remember you should be able to click on them if you want to see them bigger or you can go to here if that doesn't work.)

This is why the bow tie pic didn't make it on the "cuteness" page:
I was WAY behind on this! I had only done 1,2,3 so it was hard to go back and remember what he was doing at 6 months. A special thanks goes out to my blog for helping me out.

I've learned my lesson about getting behind on these particular pages. I think it is easier to do 3 months on one instead of a page a month, plus I like to see the change on one page.

Dave and I argued over this one but ultimately it was my decision. He wanted a different picture but he came up with the "Sleigh bells ring" part so I call it a good compromise.

Such a good friend

We had stake conference today and afterwards I went to say hi to Liz and Max. I was holding Carter but letting him stand on a chair holding on to the back and Max was sitting in his Mommy's lap holding the back of the chair. The two of them were chatting and talking to each other and all of the sudden Max nodded his head and accidentally bonked it on the chair. Max started crying (more out of shock than anything else I think) and all of the sudden Carter started WAILING! I mean full out scream crying. I couldn't help but laugh at him and his sweet concern for his good friend. He is such a loving and caring little boy and anybody would be lucky to have him as a friend.

He was dressed like a little professor today and it was adorable. (Yes, that's a bow tie.)

Because he's so cute!

It's been a very cute day so far!

I took a long nap and Yaya and Dada found me like this:

Then I got up and had some chicken and rice:

Then I sat in the bath for the very first time! I did such a good job and I even covered my Mann parts for most of Yaya's pictures:

Then Dada forced me to show all my new teeth to Yaya. It looks like I may even be getting 6 on the top:

Then I got to wear my Navy onesie from Amanda and Nathan! It finally fits me! I enjoyed a lot of sitting practice while Yaya took pictures. I love sitting now and I'm getting so good at it:

Then I played with my toys while my Yaya and Dada took down the Christmas tree:

And this is me a couple of nights ago at Uncle Jeff and Auntie Chelle's. I must have fallen asleep because we were there so late. It seems I'm never safe from Yaya's picture taking:

I had an exhausting day of being so stinking cute! Soon my Auntie and Uncle will be here to go get See's candy (We both have pound gift certificates) and watch movies with us. I can't wait!

Kimochi Emotion Dolls

Brook really wants one of these, which I thought was kinda silly. Now I see there value to helping Carter understand the concept of feelings in an entertaining way. What do you think?

Tada!

Carter is growing up so fast! He's almost 9 months which to me just seems crazy. He's had his 2 bottom teeth for a while and we've been waiting for his top 2 to come in ever since. Dave apparently got just the perfect view into his little mouth one day and noticed that instead of his 2 front teeth he has one of his fangs (Yes, uncle Jeff he's taking after you!) Now one of his front teeth is also coming in so before you know it he will have a full set!

Not a great picture but you can see his bottom 2 teeth:

Ever since his first 2 teeth came in he started "talking" a lot. He says Dada more than anything but he does say Yaya (Mama) and Baba (binky). It's nice that he is learning how to communicate with us. We were playing around tonight and he started to copy the sounds I was making! For example: I said "Are you going to stay home and play with Daddy tomorrow?" and he said something that sounded like "Dada rrroar" then I said "Is Mommy going to take the car" and he said something like "da da are" (which I thought sounded close to "take the car"). I cannot believe that he will be talking soon. He is already so close to crawling and he will take steps if you hold his arms up. He's growing up SO fast!!!!

This video is of Me and Carter playing in the bathroom mirror. He laughs ALL the time now and he thinks the mirror is the greatest thing ever.

This video is kind of hard to see but is worth watching. He was climbing all over us and at the end I got him to say "Tada!"

More climbing:

Sugar Bowl Baby!!!

What an upset! The Utes proved all the college football know-it-all's who said they didn't have a chance wrong, and in a convincing fashion. I am glad I decided to attend the U and witness this historic game. Some pictures to preserve the awesomeness:

Pictures!

Today we had Liz, Brian and Max over for lunch and then we went over to Murray Park and took family pictures of each other. The park was beautiful covered in snow (I will let Dave post the pictures he took) but it was also SO cold and SO windy. The little boys were troupers and looked super cute all bundled up. We had fun off-roading in the strollers and got some really cute pictures. We only have half of the pictures because we used both cameras so I may post more in a few days.

A couple of our little family

Me and Dave (We don't take many of the 2 of us anymore)

Me and Liz freezing our butts off

The Pughs (I had to put one of you guys on here!)

Carter keeping his nose warm

So warm and cozy that he fell asleep!

Goofing off as usual

After the pictures Carter fell asleep and rather than wake him up we decided to drive. We ended up going to Thanksgiving Point and walking around for a few minutes. While we were there we found out about this train show they are having on January 23rd and 24th. It sounds pretty cool and they will even have a model of the Hogwarts Express! We plan to go and if any of our friends or family in Utah are interested we'd love to meet up with you guys there!!! It's only $5 per person (kids under 11 are free.) Let us know if you want to go.

Me on the way to Thanksgiving point!

Go Utes!

Yeah Utah won! Carter and Dave are so happy!

YaYa!

Well, Carter does not say Mama, but he does say "YaYa" an awful lot which we think might mean the same thing. So for now we are DaDa and YaYa. He's talking all the time and laughing SO much. He spent almost the whole day today watching football with Daddy so that was fun and as I type U of U is winning 21 to 0 in the 1st quarter! Dave is a happy boy!

During my mom's visit I couldn't help but notice some similarities in our styles... So I went for it. Haha Mom, I know you won't get this cut because you don't like bangs!

Having fun!

We'll miss you Grandma!
My knee and my ankle are both doing MUCH better. The first few days it was hard to get around but I'm fine now.
See much better!
