We heard squeaks coming from the backseat and when I looked back this is what I saw. Apparently Carter enjoys his shoe and making silly noises! Not sure how good it is for his teeth or his shoes though!

A sign of true friendship

Long story short... Carter had another Febrile Seizure tonight. We were at John and Noelle's new house and luckily I remembered what to do, stayed relatively calm and there was a priesthood holder standing right there to give him a blessing. He did not stop breathing thank goodness and he returned to his smiling happy self pretty quick. It's scary, but he's doing good.

When I got home I called my friend Melissa and she offered to bring him some gatorade (that's what the doctor says to give him when we need to rehydrate him.) She got here about 9 o'clock, stayed and chatted for a little bit and even brought me a special treat!!!!

Isn't it funny that a friend, a bottle of gatorade and a box of dots at 9:00pm can turn a bad day around? I'm so glad to have good friends and family to turn to when something bad happens. Thanks everybody! I know he will be just fine and I will continue to update you on how he is doing.

Happy Birthday Emery!

Today we went over to Emery's for a little birthday party. It was just Carter, Emery and Max which was perfect. They played and us girls chatted!

Hello...is it me your looking for?

First of all, 10 Shrute bucks for whoever can name the song referred to by the title of this blog. Carter has learned to copy something else that Mommy and Daddy do often: talk on the phone. If we give him a phone (with the keylock on, of course) and say "hello", he will put the phone up to his ear/shoulder and say hello back.


Carter moves on to play with his penguin bowling set...


Then decides to use a penguin to call Antarctica...

It is amazing how quickly he is picking up on things, not to mention fun.

Carter also had his 15 month check up today and passed with flying colors! He's 50% for height, 10% for weight (which for him is a miracle) and 90% for head circumference! The doctor even says now that he weighs over 21 lbs we can forward face him when we think he is ready. We are not sure if we are quite ready yet so we may wait a little while longer. All in all it was a great appointment!

Out of this world!

I love it when you find something you bought back when you used to have extra money (a long time ago) and it still has the tags on it. I got Carter these PJs forever ago and they still fit! I love anything outerspace so of course they are some of my favorites!

Carter is getting so big and starting to look a little more like my side of the family. It's the cheeks and the blond hair.
