Happy Birthday Mann Family!

Our friends the Pughs just celebrated their wedding anniversary (Happy anniversary guys) a little before us and they had a great idea that we decided to steal. They not only celebrate their anniversary but also the birthday of their family. We decided to follow suit and celebrate our birthday by taking Carter to the zoo (which is actually what they did so I feel like such a copier, Sorry Liz.) Since we have a zoo pass we don't feel bad just going for a little bit so we went this morning until Carter got sleepy. There were some things we had never done or seen, like ride the train and the carousel, see the prairie dogs and the bison and go in the bird, reptile and small furry animal habitat. It was fun to do those things now that he is walking and more excited to look at the animals. This was the first time he actually wanted to see them. Now we are home and Carter is napping.

Pictures anyone?

Us on the zoo train

The scary carousel...

Riding a bison with Mommy (By the end of the ride he was turned around and hugging me for dear life)

Carter and a germ. It was nice of him to get on his knees... I know how hard that is in those costumes!

Carter saying "Mommy, do you see the pretty birds behind me?"

Trying to put a leaf back on the tree that he had just pulled off.

Running around the bird habitat

How we knew it was time to go.

I think that zoo pass is the greatest thing ever. Like you said, you don't have to stay all day and get exhausted. You can just do a few things every now and then. How fun! I want one someday.
