Friends

As promised pictures from our visit with the Gonsalves family:

Carter and his friend Emanuel smiling at each other

Emanuel showing Carter his reflection

Carter in the Bjorn

Emanuel feeding the ducks (he only wanted to feed the big white one in the middle so he wouldn't let go of his bread and the ducks eventually rushed him.)

So he ended up on his Dad's shoulders
We are starting to feel the loneliness here and are wishing we were back in Santa Rosa. It's hard when you don't know anyone or know where anything is. I'm especially having problems finding food. We went to one of the three Whole Foods we found out here and it wasn't that great. We are going to look at another one when we go shopping today. The couch problem has not been fixed and we are getting annoyed. We don't like having a couch covered in cardboard in the middle of our living room. Dave's parents are on there way out here and will be staying with us for a few days. I'm sure Carter will like having familiar faces here as I'm sure he's getting bored with Mom and Dad. We found used copies of Hercules, Peter Pan and Ratatouille and he seems to like them for short periods of time. I wanted to get him Ratatouille because the mouse in the movie looks a lot like his favorite stuffed animal "Jazzy". Hopefully when he gets a little older he makes the connection.
