Buckle up!

This morning I took my now daily walk around the duck pond, but this time I was with not only Stacey and Scarlett but Jessica and Allie came too. It was so nice to hang out with friends and just talk. I am so glad that I am getting out more and trying to be more myself. It's very refreshing. Tomorrow is our ward's Mom group and the 3 of us are walking together.

Carter also has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. He's had a cough for a little while so I am hoping we can do something about that and I am very anxious to hear what the doctor has to say about his reflux and his weight. He seems to be doing a lot better and he even has a slightly rounded tummy which for him is good.

He has been sleeping really well lately (on average from 8:30PM to 6AM) for which we are very grateful. Today he woke up from his nap REALLY upset so I tried to get him to go back down and he wouldn't then I tried putting him in his swing and luckily I made sure to buckle him in!!!! I was on the couch reading my book (more on that when I finish it) and I got up to see him all caddywampus in his swing almost escaping! He seemed very pleased with himself after the initial stun of getting caught wore off. Here is what I saw:

And now he is swinging away asleep. It's blurry because I didn't dare stop the swing!

Carter looks like you've caught him in the act in the first picture and then he seems mighty pleased with himself. Oh my goodness, I just realized that he is 5 months old today! Wow, how can that be?

We got his third postcard in the mail today. Tell him thank you and we miss him too and love him so much (as well as his parents!) Those postcards "he" sends are so special!!

We will look forward to knowing how Mom's group and his Dr. appointment go tomorrow.

Carter is growing up! Since I don't get to see him in person much, it's shocking to see... his face is looking so wise. And he definitely was trying to pull a fast one on you. Watch out world - her comes Carter!
I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel more settled and make a home for yourself. We miss you!
